How is Metorik's abandoned cart feature different than Shopify's built-in tool?

Metorik offers far greater personalization and insight. While Shopify's tool is a good start, Metorik allows you to completely customize your emails with a drag-and-drop builder, send different emails based on cart contents or customer location, include unique dynamic coupons, and track all carts in real-time (not just abandoned ones) to gain deeper insights into user behavior.

Do I need a separate plugin for this to work on WooCommerce?

No. Metorik's cart tracking and recovery is built directly into our lightweight helper plugin. This means you don't need to install, configure, and pay for a separate "abandoned cart" plugin, which can often slow down your site and create data conflicts. It all works seamlessly out of the box.

Is this feature included in my Metorik subscription?

Can I see abandoned carts, even if they don't enter their email?

Metorik tracks carts for all users. If a visitor is a known customer who is logged in or has shopped with you before, we can associate the cart with their profile. For guest visitors who have not yet entered an email at checkout or via the popup, we don’t track these.

How many recovery emails can I send each abandoned cart?

You can create a complete email series with as many emails as you like. We recommend a series of 2-3 emails sent at strategic intervals (e.g., 1 hour, 24 hours, 3 days) to maximize your chances of recovering the sale without overwhelming the customer. You can test this timing in your reports.

How does the dynamic coupon system work?

You can create a coupon template directly within Metorik (e.g., "10% off, expires in 48 hours"). When a recovery email is sent, Metorik will automatically generate a unique, single-use code based on that template for each individual customer. This prevents your codes from being leaked and abused.

What kind of reporting is available for cart recovery?

We provide a comprehensive dashboard that tracks every key metric. You can see the number of carts abandoned, emails sent, open rates, click rates, orders recovered, and the total revenue generated. You can view this for your entire automation or drill down into the performance of each individual email in your series.

How easy is it to set up? Do I need to be a developer?
