Revenue looks great. But what's eating your margin?

Most stores track sales. Few track profit accurately. Costs that erode your margins are spread across different tools, and spreadsheets just can't keep up.

  • Product costs that change with suppliers, seasons, and quantities
  • Shipping costs that vary by country, weight, or method
  • Ad spend spread across Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, and Bing Ads
  • Transaction-related costs that quietly chip away at every order
  • Operational costs like rent, software, wages, and packaging
  • Manual spreadsheets that hide margin issues until it is too late

Metorik brings these costs together automatically, calculates your true profit, and helps you grow what's actually working.

Product Costs Synced

Know your real margin on every product. Metorik syncs product and variation costs from Shopify or WooCommerce, or imports them by CSV.

What is the difference between COGS and profit reporting?

COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) covers the direct product cost.

Profit reporting goes further by including shipping, ad spend, transaction-related costs, discounts, and operational expenses so you can see true net profit.

Metorik supports both, so you can move from basic COGS tracking to full profit analysis easily and accurately.

Does Metorik work with WooCommerce and Shopify?

Yes. Metorik supports both WooCommerce and Shopify for cost and profit tracking. For WooCommerce, Metorik can also sync from native COGS and the official WooCommerce COGS plugin.

Can I track operational costs like rent, salaries, and software?

Yes. With Operational Costs, you can add recurring or one-time expenses like rent, salaries, software subscriptions, packaging, and agency fees.

These costs are included directly in your profit reporting so your margins reflect the full picture.

Can Metorik track transaction fees?

Yes. For WooCommerce stores, you can sync transaction-related costs from custom fields into Metorik. For other fee scenarios, you can include additional costs so your profit reporting stays accurate.

Can I import ad spend from platforms Metorik does not integrate with?

Yes. You can sync ad costs from any source using a hosted CSV, including Google Sheets. Metorik auto-imports these costs every 15 minutes so your profit reports stay up to date.

How does Metorik compare to standalone profit tools?

Metorik includes profit reporting inside a full eCommerce analytics platform. That means you get cost tracking alongside segmentation, cohort analysis, exports, digests, and email marketing tools in one place.

It is built for both Shopify and WooCommerce, with all core features available on every plan.

How does Metorik’s Shopify profit tracking work?

Metorik combines your product costs, shipping costs, ad spend, discounts, and other configured expenses into one profit view.

You can review results by order, product, vendor, collection, customer segment, and date range.

How do I add cost of goods in WooCommerce?

You can set costs directly in Metorik for products and variations, or bulk import by CSV. Metorik also supports syncing from WooCommerce COGS sources, including native COGS and the official WooCommerce COGS plugin.

Can I import product costs in bulk?

Yes. Bulk cost import is available for Shopify and WooCommerce.

Upload a CSV with product IDs or SKUs and costs, and Metorik will match and update them automatically.

Does Metorik track historical profitability accurately when costs change?

Yes. Metorik stores order costs and profit at the time of the order (or when recalculated), so historical reports remain reliable as supplier or shipping costs change.

You can also recalculate missing or outdated costs in bulk when needed.
